In the concessionaires

At the 200 points of sale of the Jeep brand in Brazil, the line of SUVs available is formed by the national Renegade and Compass, and also by imported Cherokee (in Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk versions), Grand Cherokee (Laredo and Limited gasoline, Limited diesel), Wrangler (two doors) and Wrangler Unlimited (four doors).

If you list the iconic models of the global auto industry, Jeep Wrangler will certainly be there. The American brand’s all-terrain has been on the market for several years and is now about to receive a well-deserved generation change. Therefore, taking advantage of the anxiety of the nostalgic, the direction of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) decided to elaborate two new special versions. The first special version of the Wrangler was named Chief and arrives with a bluish tone to the lower part of his retro body. The hard ceiling is painted white in combination with the strip that covers the entire perimeter of it. Complete the aesthetic changes, the insertion of the ‘4 Wheel Drive’ logo in the trunk that indicates the full wheel drive and the 17-inch alloy wheels with specific design. The second special version of Wrangler is Smoky Mountain. This version features a dark gray tone that gives it an imposing presence. In this case, the exterior decoration is more sober than the Chief version, although it has a sticker on the hood that resembles its name. The only aesthetic element that stands out above the sobriety of the set are its 18-inch alloy wheels with a specific design with part of its chrome design. Like his brother Chief, he also has four-wheel drive, as it is Wrangler’s identity password. The engines that will be available in both versions have not been released. The Jeep has not confirmed further details, but it is most likely to equip a 3.6-liter petrol engine with V6 configuration and another diesel CRD.

The Jeep Cherokee Overland, in its European version, will debut at the Geneva Motor Show as a new finish for the American SUV. It will be the top of the line, being the most expensive, refined and equipped version of the Jeep Cherokee. Below will continue the Longitude and Limited finishes, in addition to the Trailhawk, designed for off-road raids. At a first glance it is possible to differentiate the Jeep Cherokee Overland from the rest of the line. The new finish stands out for having a fully painted exterior in the color of the body, including the wheel arches, the lower parts of the bumper and the side skirts, which in the rest of the line are black plastic. The ‘Light Brownstone’ color of the images is new. The polished front grille and 18-inch polished alloy wheels are also part of the Cherokee Overland. The Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice will not be the only special edition that the American brand will take to the Geneva Motor Show. The new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night will also be on display at the Swiss show, a special edition for the European market that seeks to give American pure blood an even more sporty aesthetic. For this, all the chrome ones become dark, adopting a matte black finish. Satin black replaces the shiny black front grill and emblems, and is also the color chosen for the 20-inch alloy wheels needed to house the Brembo brakes used in this high-performance SUV. The interior uses a black leather upholstery with contrasting silver stitching and black chrome inserts on the panel. The color of the body can be red, white or black. Mechanically, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night does not change from the standard version. Underneath its hood is one of the biggest of the brand, a 6.4-liter, genuinely American aspirated V8 with 468 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque. The utility of more than 2,000 kg is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than five seconds, with a top speed of 257 km / h. The 6.4-liter V8 engine is coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a permanent all-wheel drive system that can manage torque delivery in different modes using the Selec-Track system. Launch Control is another feature available on the Grand Cherokee SRT to get the most out of its performance.
